A Pingdom alternative with one flat price
Halvyn covers website, API and multi-step browser checks — plus databases, cron jobs, DNS and network services — with incident response and status pages included in every plan.
When Halvyn is the better fit
- You want every check type included rather than paying separately per check type
- You need cron/heartbeat, database, DNS, TCP and UDP checks alongside website monitoring
- You want incident management and on-call escalation in the same product
- You want a free plan to start with and no credit card
When to stay with Pingdom
- You rely heavily on real-user monitoring (RUM) data from browsers
- Your monitoring is tied into a wider suite you already pay for
What you get with Halvyn
One incident per outage
Repeated failures roll into a single incident with a timeline, instead of a flood of duplicate alerts.
Blip recheck
A failed check is re-run within the same cycle before it counts, and an incident opens only after consecutive failures — a single network blip never pages anyone.
Escalation until acknowledged
Email, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, Google Chat, webhooks, SMS, voice calls and on-call rotations — with one-click acknowledge links in every alert.
Incident management
Investigating → identified → monitoring → resolved states, assignees, comments, SLA timers per severity and postmortems.
Public status pages
Uptime bars, live incidents and manual updates on a page you can put on your own domain.
Maintenance windows
Checks keep running during planned work but alerts stay quiet, so your history stays complete.
SLOs and monthly SLA reports
Track objectives per monitor and email an uptime report to owners every month.
Flat pricing
Every check type on every paid plan, one price per plan — no per-host, per-check or per-feature metering.
Frequently asked questions
- Does Halvyn support multi-step transaction checks?
- Yes. Browser monitors drive a real Chromium through steps such as open, click, type and wait, and fail when any step does.
