Features / Website & API uptime
Website and API uptime monitoring
Halvyn sends real HTTP requests to your site or API on a schedule and opens one incident the moment it stops answering the way it should — not just when it returns a 500.
What Halvyn checks
- Any method (GET, POST, PUT…) with your own headers, body and Basic, Bearer or API-key auth
- Expected status codes, plus a separate "degraded" status range
- Response time, with a slow-response (degraded) threshold
- Keyword present or absent in the body
- JSON path assertions on API responses
- SSL certificate expiry warnings days ahead
- Redirects that land on a different host — the classic CDN or parked-domain failure that still returns 200
Common uses
- Marketing site and landing pages
- Public and partner REST APIs
- Login and checkout endpoints
- Webhooks receivers and health endpoints
Included with every monitor
One incident per outage
Repeated failures roll into a single incident with a timeline, instead of a flood of duplicate alerts.
Blip recheck
A failed check is re-run within the same cycle before it counts, and an incident opens only after consecutive failures — a single network blip never pages anyone.
Escalation until acknowledged
Email, Slack, Microsoft Teams, Discord, Google Chat, webhooks, SMS, voice calls and on-call rotations — with one-click acknowledge links in every alert.
Incident management
Investigating → identified → monitoring → resolved states, assignees, comments, SLA timers per severity and postmortems.
Public status pages
Uptime bars, live incidents and manual updates on a page you can put on your own domain.
Maintenance windows
Checks keep running during planned work but alerts stay quiet, so your history stays complete.
SLOs and monthly SLA reports
Track objectives per monitor and email an uptime report to owners every month.
Flat pricing
Every check type on every paid plan, one price per plan — no per-host, per-check or per-feature metering.
Frequently asked questions
- Does Halvyn alert on a slow site, or only a down one?
- Both. Set a response-time threshold and checks above it mark the monitor degraded; checks that fail your status, keyword or JSON assertions mark it down.
- Can I monitor an API that needs authentication?
- Yes. HTTP monitors support custom headers plus Basic, Bearer token and API-key authentication. Credentials are encrypted at rest.
